Our company – VIMAJOFIL Serralharia Civil, Lda., started its activity on 01/03/1997 in the branch: 25992 Metalworking, Manufacture of doors, windows and similar elements in metal.

The know-how acquired, both by employees and customers, allowed VIMAJOFIL to evolve in its concept and performance. In the early years, very focused on the civil construction area and private clients, it soon became evident that the commitment of our employees and the quality of our services could take us further.

The purchase of its own facilities that took place in 2008 was an important milestone for the company, both in terms of image and consistency, as well as in terms of organization and profitability.

In 2012 we created a project for Guimarães - European Capital of Culture, which, far from having achieved the expected goals, brought knowledge and recognition that we needed something new. Thus, in 2013, we participated in the SME Quality and Innovation QI, from which we developed and created the desafiART brand. A brand aimed at designers, architects and artists who see metal as something essential or to incorporate in their creations.

In 2016, we started our participation in the project "Guimarães Marca”, which provides the opportunity to exchange ideas with common goals and develop constructive partnerships, making each of the companies stronger and more competitive.

The company is dedicated to continuous improvement, and began the LEAN journey in 2021, with the objective of increasing efficiency in all company processes.

Working metal has always been our passion, but the dodecahedron, this unique piece, presented us with constant challenges: in design, planning, execution, finishing, in all its surroundings, making us gravitate towards this new universe .

The material and personal investment was in line with our aspirations: intense and profound. We questioned the way ideas materialize, in metal.

We refine techniques, improve tools, review methodologies, abandon prejudices and even the way we perceive the Universe. Not just the dodecahedron. When contemplating the product of our imagination, we realize how much we innovate, but we also feel the adrenaline in what it means to go further.

After all, what happened? Art? What is art? And if we assign a purpose to art, if we challenge it with a new function, what is that? Design? Do concepts matter? And will we be able to control our obsession for uniqueness, for detail, for the search for perfection in the challenges we set ourselves? Or do we want? After all, what moves us?
